Honknarok

Honknarok is a short, physics-based rage game set on a treacherous mountain path to Valhalla. You don’t use legs, climbing axes, or jetpacks - instead, you control 4 powerful horns grafted to your torso. By charging the correct horn, you blast sound in one direction to launch yourself in the other.

Figure out how to chain your blasts to conquer this road to the ends, and the laws of physics. The game focuses on high-stakes movement, environmental puzzles, and a vibrant low-poly visual style. There are no checkpoints - the mountain teaches you naturally (usually by dropping you).

The Controls

This is not a standard platformer. You are piloting a physics object.

Movement: The WASD Horns Each key corresponds to a horn on Bjorn's body. Remember: Newton's Third Law. To go UP, you must blast DOWN.

• [W] (Head Horns): Blasts UP → Pushes you DOWN.
• [S] (Bottom Horns): Blasts DOWN → Launches you UP. (Your main jump).
• [A] (Left Arm): Blasts LEFT → Pushes you RIGHT.
• [D] (Right Arm): Blasts RIGHT → Pushes you LEFT.

Advanced Technique: "The Pivot" Need to change your aim without firing?

• Don't just release the key! That will fire the horn.
• Hold the NEW key while still holding the OLD key, then release the old one. Bjorn will rotate to the new aim direction without launching.

panic Button: [SPACE]

• Horn Blast: Bjorn uses 3 Charges to spin upright and kill all momentum.
• Use this to save yourself from a bad spin or to stick a landing.

System:

• [ESC]: Pause Menu (Resume, Restart, Settings, Quit).

 Settings & Modes

• Hard Mode: Removes the aiming arrow guide and disables the [SPACE] panic button. For true legends only.
• Inverted Controls: Available in the Pause Menu if your brain prefers flight-simulator style aiming.
• Timer: Enable the Speedrun Timer to track your climb.
